This is a genuine Diplomat Lapis Matt Black Excellence A2 Fountain Pen, with matt trim and articulated clip. It comes with two Diplomat Broad Steel Nibs, two converters, and the box it was bought with. While this has been used, it is in excellent condition, except for a tiny mark under the clip. It also has a packet of Waterman International black cartridges and a packet of short cartridges.

For some reason the short ones do not work particularly well with this pen. I really wanted to like this pen, it has a lovely heft and weight, it writes brilliantly, but it never felt secure in my hand, possibly because of the metal finish.
