Vintage Montblanc Caressa Fountain Pen-Matt Black/ Brushed Steel-Germany 1970s
Vintage "Montblanc Caressa" Fountain Pen-Matt Black/ Brushed Steel-Germany 1970s. Back in 1906 a Hamburg banker, Alfred Nehemias and a Berlin engineer, August Eberstein recognised the signs of time and decided to produce simplicissimus pens. After a short period of time Wilhelm Dziambor, Christian Lausen and later Claus Johannes Voss took over the business and thus laid the foundation for the future internationally successful company Montblanc. Their first model was the "Rouge et Noir" in 1909 followed in 1910 by the pen that was later to give the company its new name: "Montblanc".

The name Meisterstück ("Masterpiece" for export) was used for the first time in 1924, for the top lines of fountain pens. The number "4810, " the mountain's height in meters, is also a commonly recurring theme. Colour: brushed steel cap with matt black barrel. I think the nib size is fine to medium. Size capped: approximately 5.2.

Estimated time of production: 1970s. Optical condition: shows traces of use and wear. Technical condition: the cartridge-filling mechanism is in working order. Comes with a Montblanc "Royal Blue" ink sample.

Also included: an unbranded, new old stock converter and a Montblanc ink cartridge. Please enlarge all of the photos and make up your own mind of the overall condition. Please keep in mind that this is an estimate.
