Mont Blanc 220 Matte Black (brushed) finish. 585 gold EF nib

Superb, almost mint condition Montblanc 220 matt black (brushed) finish, piston filler. The beautiful winged nib is 14c gold stamped 585. It looks like an EF but writes more like a fine-medium.

Probably new old stock as. There are virtually no signs of usage (there is just some slight brassing on finial plating). The piston mechanism works smoothly. The 220 was Montblanc's response to the Lamy 2000, and is a very similar design, though slimmer and more elegant than the 2000 (IMHO).

White star Montblanc emblem on the cap is clear and glossy. MONTBLANC' and'220' etched on cap band. A very beautiful and classic vintage pen, and unlike the Lamy 2000, the MB 220 is no longer in production.
