The pen has been used and there is some nib creep(which is normal). The pens writes extremely smoothly, especially on good paper brands like Rhodia. No issues with retraction in the past.
I've treated this pen with extreme care as it has never experienced any drop of any kind. Montblanc case is made out of smooth leather, and the pen fits perfectly. Pilot Iroshizuku shin-kai is my favorite blue-black wet ink and I highly suggest using it with the pen. If you wish to use another ink however, make sure to clean and flush out the pen as I have used the ink in it already. The bottle is 15ml and I have filled the pen ONCE with it; the bottle is basically full.
