Some really interesting and collectable examples up for grabs. Please check out all my other listings. This particular pen is quite a rare flat top Japanese Jumbo Eyedropper pen and dates from the 1950's. It's very similar to several others listed but this one does not have any kind of painting or decoration on it.
The material is a type of plastic called ebonite. The clip and collars are all goldplated with some wear to the plating. It has been rumoured that they were specially made for people with arthritis but after researching them, it looks like it is misinformation Fakenews!!! Either way it's a monster it measures 13.4mm in length, the base is 2cm dia and the flat top cap is 2.6cm dia. The flat endcap is threaded and can be unscrewed which i think controls the ink flow. The condition is really good. There are no major scratches and no cracks. Just wear to the painted black lacquering, mainly to the top of the cap (See Images). The nib is marked OK FOREIGN. The nib looks pretty good under magnification but not tested. The pen is stamped on the cap FOREIGN and this is the only marking i can find. Please study all the images carefully as they form an important part of the description.
