Restored Sheaffer Flat Top Oversize FP, Jade, Lever Fill, 14 K Nib

This is a restored vintage Sheaffer Flat Top Oversize Fountain Pen, in Jade Celluloid from the 1920s. With white dot on top of the cap, ready to write and with a smooth nib. The pen is discolored, as is common for this material, but otherwise it is in very good shape. And it is an excellent writer.

Please, see the photos and read the full description below. The pen has been fully serviced. It was disassembled, the nib and feed were ultrasonically cleaned, it was manually and lightly polished after covering the imprints and metal parts, and a new sac was installed. After assembling the pen, it was inspected, tested and the nib was adjusted.

It writes nicely, with good flow and should be ready to write for many years. Nib: large 14k gold Lifetime nib. The nib is firm, very smooth, wet and writes like a fine (please see the writing sample in the last photo; the squares are 5mm x 5mm). Filling system: lever filler with a new sac.

Size: about 5 1/4 in (13.3 cm) capped. Body and Cap: The celluloid is clean, and there are no cracks or deep scratches (there are micro-scratches and some light scratches compatible with age).

The celluloid is a bit discolored, as can be seen in the photos. Trim: There is brassing to the ball of the clip, otherwise good. The cap band has some dents. Imprint: The barrel imprint is very good. Personal engravings: the name A.
